A Day On The Links – Live Fundraiser with Nazareth Community

The Montreal-based portion of the Charitas team spent some time on the golf course to spread Charitas’ brand vision and information regarding our upcoming project launches on Monday, September 13.

The fundraiser has benefited the Montreal-based Nazareth Community, which is a home environment with support for men and women who struggle with mental health issues, homelessness, trauma and addictions. Their residents enjoy celebrations, pet therapy, music, individual treatment plans and support.

We’re proud to be supporting another local initiative (see Chez Doris event) and hope that other members in our community will take the initiative to involve themselves in non-profits in their communities as well.

In-person events offer an amazing opportunity to make new connections, build relationships and bring together influential, motivated and philanthropic individuals to support the Charitas brand and our collective future!

This event yielded a great result for the Nazareth Community, and for Charitas. Kimia, our Research Director, linked up with Sheila Woodhouse, Executive Director of Nazareth Community, and plans to learn about their integrations with other Montreal-based organizations, as well as their concerns with accepting cryptocurrencies and what it would mean for their fundraising ventures. We have also linked with Tracey Adams, the fundraising coordinator, who will link the Charitas team with other board directors that will help us spread the Charitas platform around Canada.

Part of the Montreal-based portion of the Charitas team (Steven, left and Kimia, right) attended the event and shared the Charitas vision.

Charitas was able to donate $1000 CAD to the Nazareth Community and pledged another $450 to be donated shortly.

Note: As previously mentioned, if any of our community members are familiar with similar in-person fundraising initiatives in their hometown that they believe can yield great visibility for Charitas, please drop anyone in the core team a DM and we will explore the opportunity together.
